APRA published a letter to industry on artificial intelligence for all APRA-regulated entities. It identifies weaknesses in AI governance, risk management, operational resilience and assurance across banks, insurers and superannuation trustees.
Congressman Blake Moore introduced the GUARD Act with Representative Valerie Foushee to regulate AI companion chatbots for children. The bill would ban AI companions for minors, require non-human chatbot disclosures and create criminal penalties for companies that allow minors to access sexual chatbot content.

UNIDIR will hold the Global Conference on AI, Security and Ethics 2026 in Geneva and online on 18 and 19 June 2026. The conference will examine AI’s implications for international peace, security, governance, ethics and responsible practice.
AI for Good will hold the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 in Geneva from 7 to 10 July 2026. The summit includes standards and policy work and will run alongside the inaugural Global Dialogue on AI Governance.
