Fairness - A principle requiring that AI systems be designed and used in ways that prevent discrimination and promote equitable treatment of all individuals. International frameworks emphasise ‘fairness and non-discrimination’ and call on AI actors to ‘promote social justice and safeguard fairness and non-discrimination of any kind’.
